'You have brought shame on your family' 17-year-old Rosanne is rushed to marry her boyfriend after running away for a FEW HOURS on Big Fat Gypsy Weddings

Emotions ran high on last night's episode of Big Fat Gypsy weddings, with the issue of family honour called into question as travellers defied their cultural traditions.
Rosanne, 17, was rushed into a wedding after running away with her boyfriend- for just a few hours.
When asked about the potential risks of her decision, she admitted that there was a chance her life could have been 'ruined'.
Scandal: After spending time alone with her boyfriend, Irish traveller Rosanne was rushed up the aisle to save her reputation on last night's installment of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings
Came at a cost: Rosanne got the traditional wedding she wanted, but said she was sorry she'd put her family through such hassle
But clearly her desire for a quick wedding was strong enough to override her concerns, as she explained: 'Why I got engaged so quickly Cos I ran off didn't I. If he went and asked properly the wedding probably wouldn't be until next year.'
'I wanted to get married quicker than he did. We were away for a few hours, but when we got back I got afraid.'
'I took like a huge massive risk doing it because a lot of girls who do it get dragged back home and no boy will ever go near them again. Because they think there's something wrong with the girl.'
Risk: When asked about the potential consequences of her decision, Roseanne admitted that there was a chance her life could have been 'ruined'
Out of proportion: Roseanne only spent a few hours alone with her boyfriend, but that was enough to ruin her reputation if she didn't get married
'And her life is ruined. I don't think I'll ever live it down, even when I'm an old woman,' she added.
Rather than bring shame on the family, Rosanne's parents rushed her wedding forward, and Rosanne was seen preparing hastily for her nuptials the following week.
In later scenes, Rosanne's mother Bridget was seen upset that her daughter was getting married so young.
Defying tradition: The episode also featured 26-year-old Priscilla, who was disgraced when she got married at 16, then divorced, before having two children out of wedlock
Reconciled: Priscilla patched up things with her father when she got engaged again- even though her fianc Clive wasn't a traveller
Though she said she was proud of her daughter, Bridget confessed that she 'wasn't happy' on the day of the wedding, but added: 'I'll keep that to myself.'
Meanwhile in another example of convention defied, we met 26-year-old Pricilla, who ran away to get married then had a divorce, and at the time of filming was unmarried with four children.
Priscilla was interviewed as she was planning a wedding to her boyfriend Clive.
Night on the tiles: Priscilla celebrated her engagement with an evening out
She was just 16 when she got married for the first time, but Priscilla says that it was her subsequent divorce which brought greater shame on the family.
'My father came over to me and cornered me and said: “You should be ashamed of yourself, you dirty whore,”' Priscilla revealed.
'A man and wife is meant to stay together for eternity. There's not many traveller women who get divorced.'
Going all out: Priscilla had a breast enlargement and tummy tuck before her big day
Priscilla also went against the grain by choosing Clive, a non-traveller as her second husband.
Still more shocking, Priscilla's last two children were born out of wedlock.
However she mended her relationship with her father when she decided to marry again, and in a touching scene he said that he was 'so proud of the decisions she has now made.'
Not to be outdone: Another gypsy bride was seen arriving at her wedding by a horse and carriage
She kept one scandal up her sleeve though, getting a breast enlargement and tummy tuck in Poland before her wedding.
Gypsy Weddings veteran and Celebrity Big Brother star Paddy Doherty spoke about the importance of maintaining family honour.
He divulged that the only way to settle family feuds was to participate in bare knuckle fighting.
It's taller than me! There was certainly enough cake to go around
