BGT's back and 'smutty' judge David Walliams is raising eyebrows with his bawdy comments
It used to be the risque contestants who caused controversy. But this year, the Britain’s Got Talent judges are the ones attracting all the attention.
New recruit David Walliams has raised eyebrows over his bawdy comments during the first auditions.
As filming got under way in Manchester this weekend, the comedian’s remarks to the hopefuls were littered with innuendo and double entendres.

One act, ballroom dancers Sugardandys, featured a gay couple performing a routine that involved holding each other aloft.
Simon Cowell said to the duo: ‘I am not sure it is appropriate that you danced to You Raise Me Up.’
In response, Walliams, 40 – on the judging panel alongside Cowell, 52, Alesha Dixon, 33, and Amanda Holden, 40 – quipped: ‘But did it raise you up’

Later, the comedian made gags about sex toys when aspiring singer Sam Kelly came on stage to perform.
Yesterday, Cowell began the second day of filming by admitting on camera: ‘David was very badly behaved yesterday.’
Later, he apologised for ‘smutty comments’ Walliams made to an elderly Christian couple.

Meanwhile, Miss Holden was attracting attention for rather different reasons.
Despite being eight months’ pregnant, she tottered into the auditions in towering stiletto heels – which she teamed with a sparkly mini-dress.
Many experts warn that wearing high heels in the late stages of pregnancy can lead to back problems.
