Mortified Jade Torry shed seven stone after first getting stuck on a water slide and then being measured to see if she would fit on a rollercoaster while on holiday in America.
The 22-year-old was left in tears when staff at Disney World in Florida pulled her out of a queue thinking she was too fat to go on the ride.
The mum-of-one, who used to eat three dinners every evening is now barely recognisable having dropped from 16 stone and a size 20, down to just 9 stone.
Half the woman she was: Jade lost seven stone and five dress sizes after being humiliated in U.S. theme park
Jade, who is now a svelte size 10, said: 'It was my first holiday abroad and I thought it would be the holiday of a lifetime – but instead I ended up in tears feeling like a freak.
'As I was queuing to go on a rollercoaster I got asked to step out of line. They said I might be too big for the ride and had to be measured.
'In the end they let me on but I had to be put in a special seat for fat people. It all happened in full view of everyone – I was so embarrassed.
The 22-year-old Essex girl used to eat three dinners every evening, around 3000 calories a day
'I was so humiliated I cried the whole way through the ride but pretended it was because I was scared.'
Jade, who is engaged to hospital supervisor Luke, 23, and has a two-year-old son, Cameron, later ground to a halt on a water ride because she was too heavy for her rubber ring to float.
She said: 'I got stuck next to a viewing platform where people were stood watching. I was stuck for about four minutes feeling mortified.
'Before that I was in denial about my weight, but this was a wake up call. I thought “If I’m considered fat in America, I really must be”.'

On her return to the UK Jade joined Slimming World and changed her diet.
said: 'I used to eat three dinners every evening, one at my house, then
dinner with Luke and his parents. Later we would go and buy chicken and
'I was comfort eating and just craved food all the time. I binged on chocolate, trifle and ice-cream.'
Working out a meal plan, Jade substituted chocolate and extra-large portions for smaller meals, fruits and low-calories snacks.
In the space of just one year Jade, who lives in Southend Essex, lost seven stone and cut her calorie intake in half from 3,000 calories per day to 1,500.
said: 'I used to get the bus to the end of the road because I was lazy
and got out of breath walking. Now I have bags of energy and love to get
up early and do the housework.
'Some of Luke’s friends who I hadn’t seen for a year didn’t even recognise me.'
A year after her first trip to Disney World, Jade and Luke visited Disney Land in Paris.
Jade said: 'It was nice to be able to go back with my head held high and go on every ride I wanted.'
