He seems to prove himself more and more every day as the perfect boyfriend.

And yesterday was no different for Andrew Garfield, as he made himself useful to girlfriend Emma Stone in New York.

As well as holding Emma's dog while she said goodbye to her mother, Andrew also toted his potentially future mother-in-law's luggage out of her temporary abode, before bidding farewell to the older woman with a big hug.

Emma, 23, looked chic in a black and white dress and red cardigan as she headed outside to put her mother into a waiting car.

Emma and British actor Andrew, 28, have been dating since last June, after meeting on the set of their upcoming movie The Amazing Spider-Man.

And things are going so well for the pair that they have even moved in together in New York, according to sources.

An insider told Life & Style magazine earlier this year: 'They
have a really nice apartment. They also
hired interior designer to transform the space. They wanted a subtle,
understated look that was comfortable'.

And as well as things going well in the couple's personal lives, things are also going from strength to strength with their careers.

In addition to The Amazing Spider-Man hitting cinemas in July, Emma and Andrew have just been announced as presenters at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards on June 3rd.
