Star: Andrej Pejic, seen at Jean Paul Gaultier's couture show in Paris on July 4, is filming his own reality show
Androgynous model Andrej Pejic has been given his own reality TV show.
The 20-year-old Australian beauty, who was born a male, is currently in the process of filming the new series in New York.
It will follow the blonde bombshell on various model assignments throughout New York.
The show will also feature the gender-bending star's mother, Jadranka Savic, who flew into the city last month to commence filming.
DNA Models, the model's New York-based modelling agency, wrote in an email to Fashionista.com today: 'It's still in the early stages, but yes, there is a show being developed around Andrej.'
Born in Bosnia, Mr Pejic sparked initial speculation last July when he tweeted to his 35,000 followers: 'Should I do a reality TV show I mean what would I have…. to say”.'
No doubt one of the fashion game's most celebrated faces, apearing on more than a dozen international magazine covers, the fashion set has been eagerly awaiting the rumour's confirmation.
Frockwriter.com, another fashion news site, wrote earlier today that a source had confirmed the project to the site back in February.
The post further explained that production had been slightly delayed, which explains why the model's mother has only just arrived in New York to join her son in filming the series.

The model tweeted on June 27: 'Yay, my mother is in NY'.
He then posted a picture of himself and his mother sitting in a cafe together, on Twitter just days later.
The model most recently turned heads at Paris Couture Week 2012 where he walked the catwalk for Jean Paul Gaultier.
