Amanda Holden's has had a tough year with losing her unborn son and ending up seriously ill following the birth of baby Hollie in January.
So as she puts her annus horribilis behind her, the Britain's Got Talent judge is finally in the right frame of mind to celebrate her 40th birthday… albeit a year later.
After hitting the landmark age just days after her son was stillborn in February 2011, Holden decided she would pretend the birthday hadn't even happened.

Despite turning 41 on February 16 this year, Holden decided to celebrate her 40th 13 months late last night with a select group of showbiz friends.
The mother-of-two was reunited with Britain's Got Talent judges past and present Piers Morgan and David Walliams at the lavish do at Shoreditch House in East London.
Also in attendance was her former Cutting It co-star Angela Griffin, TV presenter Stephen Mulhern and chef Eric Lanlard.

The dress code for the party was 'very glamorous' , with Holden looking stunning in a silver off-the-shoulder gown.
And it appears Walliams and Morgan were providing plenty of the entertaining.
Morgan, who attended with journalist wife Celia Walden, wore a blonde wig as he did a Stavros Flately tribute and a spot of Irish dancing.
Holden tweeted: 'Had a fab belated 40ish birthday party last night! Fantastic! @davidwalliams and @piersmorgan were hilarious together!'

She uploaded a photo of Morgan in his wig, tweeting: 'Stavros Morgan! A whole new career ahead for @piersmorgan xx.'
Walliams uploaded a photo of himself cuddled up to Morgan and the birthday girl.
Griffin, who attended with partner Jason Milligan, admitted she had a hangover today.
She wrote on Twitter: 'Suffering a little bit today…'

Holden admitted last summer she was planning to pretend to be 39 so she could celebrate her 40th in style.
She said last year: 'I wasn't up for having a big party so my husband Chris (Hughes) invited some girlfriends over with strict instructions that they all had to wear tracksuits and we had a quiet night in with an Indian takeaway and pink champagne.
'It wasn't the 40th I'd imagined so I'm claiming I'm still 39 and will be having the biggest party of all time next year.'
