It's safe to say most people don't make much of an effort when they're going to the carwash.
But the presence of Ali Larter at one Hollywood carwash must have been a treat for the employees as she rocked up in a sexy black dress.
The former Heroes star, 36, wore a double-strap mini dress, gold sandals and a hat as she got her car cleaned at the Melrose Strip carwash in West Hollywood yesterday.

While employees set to work on the car, the actress kept her cool in the shade and played with her cameraphone.
Nowhere to be seen was her 20-month-old Teddy, who was presumably at home with his father, Ali's husband Hayes McArthur.
Larter has taken a step back from her acting career in recent years to focus on bringing up Teddy.

But she is set to return to the TV screens later this year in new drama The Asset.
Larter plays a CIA agent posing as a photojournalist named Anna King.
The ABC series also starts The West Wing's Bradley Whitford and Jamie Chung.
Meanwhile, aside from balancing her acting career with motherhood, Ali has also written a cookbook.

She is currently looking for a publisher for the book, entitled Kitchen Revelry: Fun, Fearless and Festive Ideas To Inspire You To Take a Bite Out of Life.
Ali said earlier this summer: 'This journey started during my first, disastrous dinner party. I lived in a fourth-floor walk-up above a pub. I was lonely and trying to use it as a way to meet new people. My insecurities got the best of me and I drank too much wine.
'I had my mind set on an overly complicated dish. I just wish I had found laughter through the tears. Mistakes happen. Burn, cry, reapply.'
Next role: Larter will soon be seen on-screen starring in the pilot of new U.S. TV drama The Asset
