Former Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, showed her true fashion instincts last night ignoring the cold to step out in a figure-hugging black skirt and jacket with bare legs and open toe stilettos.
In the city for two appearances on Fox News, the former vice-presidential candidate and self ascribed 'Mama Grizzly' opted for minimal layering and peep-toes but remembered the most important accessory of all; her American flag pin.
As usual the attractive politician looked well put together with not a hair out of place as she traveled between the hotel and the taping with a hunter backpack.

What was in the sports bag Most likely the pair of black pants that she wore in her first television appearance of the day.
an interview with Eric Bolling on Fox's Follow the Money, Mrs Palin
appeared wearing the same jacket and snakeskin heels but in the rather
more conservative trousers.
When she returned later for the news
channel's show, The Five, as a surprise guest, she had exchanged the
trousers for the tight black pencil skirt.
Most likely she made the choice to 'go rogue' in the second segment knowing she'd have a table to hide behind.

During the show, Mrs Palin was asked about her views on the GOP race and her role as a mother to a son with Down's Syndrome.
Sharing a joke with Mr Beckel about how she had once referred to him as a 'dufus', the former governor playfully kicked her counterpart under the table, putting her killer heels to good use.
Mrs Palin also revealed that should there be no majority winner in the GOP race for the candidacy, if she was asked to step in and run, she would 'whatever [she] could to help.'
