Not all men are man-bag carrying, BB eye-cream dabbing metrosexuals.
Mention buying a scented candle for a testosterone fueled neanderthal and you might have him running (barefoot) for the hills.
But US website, Yankee Candle, has found a way of gently introducing him to the feminine joys of a candlelit bath.
The scent of a man: Candle fragrance 2×4 is touted the warm, unmistakable scent of freshly planed wood and sawdust
Alongside a more usual roster of tea lights, pillar candles and pot potpourri, the site is also touting a line of 'Man Candles.'
Scents include Riding Mower – described as 'Hot sun. Cool breeze. And the intensely summery scent of freshly cut grass' and 2×4 (inspired by that standard dimension for cutting planks of wood).
2×4 is described as 'The warm, unmistakable scent of freshly planed wood and sawdust evokes a sense of confidence and quality.'
For the sports enthusiasts there's First Down – 'a combination of orange, patchouli, vetiver and leather as exciting as game day' and finally there's, Man Town, which enjoins its users to 'escape to the man cave with this masculine blend of spices, woods and musk'.
With Father's Day approaching on Sunday, they might just be onto something. Maybe.
